With the Super Bowl this week, we've been thinking about all of the great Delaware restaurants for sports fans!  If you’re looking for a fun local restaurant where you can watch the game on a big screen and enjoy some great food, we've done the tough research for you! Here are 5 great Delaware restaurants for watching sports, whether the Super Bowl or any other game.

  1. Grotto Pizza. All locations of this local pizza chain have a great bar for watching sports. With their famous swirl pizza, free popcorn and great beer specials, you can’t beat the game day food options here. Plus, you are guaranteed to come across lots of fellow sports fans at any location! Each restaurant will be raffling off a 50” HDTV during halftime on Sunday.

  2. Abbotts Grill. Looking for a more laid back environment with killer food and local brews? You will love Abbott’s, whether you choose Abbotts Grill in Milford or Abbotts on Broad Creek in Laurel. Each one has a fantastic menu of locally-sourced foods, and a great local draft beer selection. You might not find as many sports fanatics here, but you won’t find a better game day menu! Happy hour, with great food like a homemade chicken bacon ranch sandwich (yum!) runs every day from 3-6 in Milford and 4-7 in Laurel.

  3. Arena's Deli. No matter where in the State you reside, there is guaranteed to be an Arena’s nearby. With some of Delaware's best nachos, a great sandwich selection and a lengthy beer list, you can’t go wrong no matter which location you choose. Happy hour specials, including half price appetizers and discounted drinks, run from 3:00 until 5:00 every day.

  4. Jeff’s Taproom and Grille. If you want a dive bar with incredible burgers and wings, plus a fun atmosphere, Jeff’s Taproom in Bridgeville is your spot. The portions are huge, the beer is cold and the prices are low! You're guaranteed to have a fun time no matter what game you’re watching at Jeff’s.

  5. JD Shuckers Seafood Grill and Raw Bar. This seafood grill and raw bar, with locations in Long Neck and Georgetown, is a favorite gathering spot for locals. Happy hour specials include delicious appetizers like short rib nachos and crabby tater tots, and run from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on the weekends. They are having some extra specials for the Super Bowl including a free nacho and taco bar!
